Sunday was a busy night at Logan Airport as two planes landed in Boston with up to 18 passengers injured by turbulence. Seven injuries were reported on a JetBlue flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Boston. Flight 182 included 130 passengers and five crew members. A Lufthansa flight was diverted to Boston with as many as 11 injuries due to turbulence. That flight was headed from Charlotte, N.C. to Munich was due to arrive at about 11:45 p.m. with as many as 11 injured people on board. No serious injuries were reported by WCVB. [ MORE]

Whatever ailed the Patriots a week ago in Buffalo vanished in a convincing 31-19 victory on the road against the Raiders on Sunday. Tom Brady reverted to his error-free play with an efficient 16-30, 226-yard performance that included two more touchdown passes. While Brady's interception-free game gets the headlines, the Patriots benefitted from a balanced offensive attack. Oakland led early, by a 10-7 score early in the second quarter. The Patriots, who gained 184 yards on the ground, scored the next 17 points thanks to rushing touchdowns from BenJarvus Green-Ellis (75 yards) and Stevan Ridley (97 yards), and a field goal from Stephen Gostkowski. ... The Occupy Boston protestors continued today with a morning march from the Financial District to the State House where they hope to get Fox25's attention at their Beacon Hill studio. Organizers want more media attention. Today's march appeared orderly with participants chanting and holding signs. One sign that summed up the anti-capitalism theme of Occupy Boston was “capitalism is organized crime.” Capitalism doesn't appear well organized lately.... [ MORE ] |

The least experienced Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, former Obama administration advisor and Harvard Law School professor Elizabeth Warren, is quickly becoming the main challenger to Republican Senator Scott Brown, according to a UMass-Lowell/Boston Herald poll.
